May on Gotland

On the 30th of April, we celebrated Valborg with the traditional bonfire by the sea. Just some neighbours getting together, singing a song and grilling a couple of hot dogs. We had unusually hot weather in April, but a couple of days before Valborg, the temperature dropped, and it was quite cold.

Now the warmth is back. The grass is green. The birds are happy, and the cats love rolling around in the grass and enjoying all the exciting smells. At a distance, across the Kappelshamn bay, I can hear motorcycles at the racing circuit Gotland Ring. The Seagulls have had good days when a farmer plowed his acer and they could catch delicious worms…

The trees are beginning to turn green, and the apple blossoms will soon turn the garden into a white dream.

This might be the best season on Gotland. Time for picnics!

I live and work on Gotland, Sweden’s biggest island, right in the middle of the Baltic Sea. I’m interested in many things and somehow I happened to start four blogs with different content.

Asa In the Middle of the World is in English and is also about life on this island, but the content has changed to be more about Apple. I’m very interested in Apple and since 1989 I’m a Happy Apple User.
