Evening at Digerhuvud, Fårö

We went to Fårö and Digerhuvud in the late afternoon and found this table, perfect for setting our supper on!

I also found this cozy place to sit in – but maybe it’s not so good if you intend to eat food?

This is our beautiful view from the dinner table.

I don’t know what to write, I think the pictures say enough about the beauty of Fårö…

Bye, bye Digerhuvud! No, I don’t know the boy standing on the rauk, but he looks good as a silhouette!

Krister Dahlström plays guitar in S:t Hans ruins

This is my friend Krister Dahlström playing the guitar:

Krister Dahlström performs on the traditional classical concert stage and at exclusive events both in Sweden and abroad. His brilliant technique and exceptional musicality are neatly combined in his personal interpretation of the music, along with light-hearted causerie between pieces – an unusual but highly appealing way of opening up the world of the classical guitar to a much wider audience.

Our evening at Lickershamn

This afternoon we went for a picnic at Lickershamn. We ate the food by this rauk, Jungfrun/Virgo, which is the biggest rauk on Gotland.

The view from Jungfrun.

Our food!

After our delicious meal we took a walk along the coast north.

On the way back to the harbor the silhouette from the cliff by Jungfrun looked like this.

Malva.

Windsurfer with back-lightning.

The beach with some late guests.

The harbor.

Cool house.

Our reward, cool softdrinks at Lickershamnskrogen ”Beach Club”.

The view from our comfortable chairs. I could sit there for ever. Evening in July on Gotland. Love it.

Swedish Police on Segway!

This video is only in Swedish, but it’s about the Swedish Police testing Segway. The reporter also test them with pretending to steal a bag. In the end the police says ”Look, you are tired after running only 50 meters, but I can go on for 40 kilometers with this!”

I think it’s pretty cool! I have probably seen about 10 Segways in Visby this week. Except for the ordinary transportation use, they have been used for advertising as well as transportation of an old man.

Apollo Butterfly at Lergrav

Today we have been to Lergrav at the north east of Gotland. I was lucky to see this Apollo Butterfly.

I guess you know that butterflies normally have a tendency to fly away as soon your camera comes close, but this nice and polite Apollo stayed on this flower so that I could take a lot of pictures.

I like butterflies a lot. My wish is to be able to take pictures of a Makaon Butterfly. I’ve seen about ten Makaon butterflies on Gotland, but have never got the chance to take a picture.

Roine took a picture of me while I was butterfly-hunting with my camera!
